Hi, I’m Jana and welcome to my “bear-y” sweet website :-)

This is my place to share my passion for crafts, pretty things, sewing, all things vintage, and perhaps even a little bit about myself and my little family.

I was born in Prague in, what was then Czechoslovakia and nowadays the Czech Republic. I grew up in a loving family with many close friends.  Sewing is, and has always been my passion - I love the feel of fabrics and the varieties of colours. I started sewing so I could dress up my dolls and then later myself! My biggest inspirations were my mum who made many clothes for me, and my granny who was always in style and very glamorous.

So, it was no wonder really that I have chosen fashion as my career. Along the journey I attained a Masters Degree in Textile Engineering and have worked within the fashion industry both in Europe and in Ireland for many years.

I have been living in Ireland since 2006 when I decided to come for a few short months to improve my language skills….. and to make a very long story short, here I am many years later happily married to my Irish husband Kevin, with three little girls Julie, Sophie and Millie, and our energetic little dog Freddie. Once Julie arrived I decided to take a break from the fashion industry in order to spend time with them and to focus on my bears and pals :-) I hope you like my site and bears!
